I am a genomics postdoctoral fellow at the Smithsonian Institution. I received my Ph. D. in evolutionary biology from the University of Chicago in August, 2012.
I study how we can use complete genome data in phylogenetic systematics, how homologies can be detected across genomes, and how "the gene" factors into genomic research.
